Bee Friendly

Park Izmery recently became home to two large bee swarms. The bees then inhibited play on the field as they nested close by. Thankfully we called a friend in Haiti who runs an organization called Abey Wayal Ayiti, dedicated to the environment and preserving bees. Our dear friend, well known for his music in Haiti, came immediately to the park and gathered the swarms and placed them into two hives. The children were educated as he shared about the goodness of bees and their importance to the environment- especially in Haiti. Through careful patient work, he and his associate were able to take care of the bees and the children were back to playing. Please visit his Facebook page and see the good work they are doing.
